Fashion Jewellery Swarovski: More than Just Jewels!

For 32 years, the International Festival of Hyères rewards and brings emerging young talent from around the world in the field of fashion and photography. This year, the festival was able to strengthen its collaboration with the French jewellery firm Swarovski, partner of the event since 2009, by creating the prize Swarovski fashion accessories, sponsored for 15 000 Euros and chaired by the shoe designer Pierre Hardy. So, it is safe to say that there is more to the fashion jewellery Swarovski!

Walking on a sole imitating Mont Blanc, staying dry and elegant in the rain, decorating its jewellery shoes: the finalists of the new award of the accessory of the International Festival of Hyères have redoubled creativity to design objects out of the ordinary. The jury composed of 8 other fashion specialists decided to elect the Swiss designer Marina Chedel for her micro collection of shoes named "Over the peak", including a model made with Swarovski crystals. Her collection is inspired by the theme of the mountain in which she grew up, and her shoes are designed to modify the body balance, for example thanks to ramps that can be added to the soles of a model of boots to walk Inclined at 30 degrees, "as on the White Dent," a mountain of the Swiss Alps.

She says she wants to work for a brand specialized in sportswear accessories in order to improve her technical skills. And if one day she creates a brand, she imagines it rather in the form of a collective, with a ready-to-wear designer, a graphic designer, and a financier ... A kind of Warhol Factory.
